very popular blend truly appeals to all those who do not wish their wine too sweet or too dry. This is a wonderful fruit-driven blend with a slight dry twist that lends itself to be matched with Asian food or over an outdoor lunch.
Again we have put together different brands in different regions to allow you the opportunity of understanding and selecting the style you prefer.
This wine case includes 3 bottles of each wine:
VINE KEEPER SEM SAUVIGNON BLANC 2009
Colour: Bright, with a pale straw colour. Aroma: Deliciously rich ripe passion fruit and floral aromas. Palate: The Sauvignon Blanc produces fresh tropical characters, partnering beautifully with the Semillon (delete comma) that provides zesty citrus, grassy and herbaceous flavours. An intense flavour with a clean dry finish. Cellaring Guide: Drink now while young and fresh.
BULLER BEVERFORD SEM SAUV BLANC 2009
Sourced from Buller's extensive Swan Hill vineyard, this has broad and citrusy fruit with - again - no shortage of flavour. Best drunk well chilled, this is very affable stuff.
CASSEGRAIN STONE CIRCLE SEM SAUVIGNON BLANC 2010
Vibrant lemon in colour, this youthful wine exhibits aromas of passion fruit, cherry blossoms and green apples. The palate delivers flavours of kiwi fruit and fresh cut pineapple which linger on a clean, crisp finish.
LONG FLAT SEM SAUVIGNON BLANC 2008
Straw-coloured with a nose of pear, cut grass and a waxy-floral note; medium-bodied, with fresh, lively citrus and pear flavours. Nicely balanced and very good value.
Rating: 87/100
Food match: blackened scallops; trout in almonds.
