Scotchmans Hill Limited Release
Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 (Geelong, Vic) RRP $30
Garnet red colour with a slight brick hue. The wine shows vibrant
fruit characters on the nose with hints of blackberry and other red berry
fruits. Savoury earthy characters and a touch of herbaceousness add to the
complexity. A full bodied intense palate displaying fresh blackberry fruits,
briar and earth overtones. Spicy, charry oak characters add to its structure and
intensity. This is an elegant wine with fine grain tannins and a long lingering
aftertaste. With careful cellaring this wine will age gracefully over the next 7
to 10 years.
Notes from Scotchmans Hill
“Red
fruits (plenty of raspberry), camphor and cedar, a bit of choc-vanilla and some
sweet tomato and leaf character. Just medium bodied, distinctly tangy and fresh
with a good burst of red fruit and herbal flavour - it’s borderline for ripeness
with all that tomato action but the structure, vibrancy and length is
pleasing”. Gary Walsh, The Winefront
Scotchmans Hill Riesling 2008 (Geelong, Vic) RRP
$30

citrus aromas are evident on the nose, together with a hint of gooseberry. The

structure and excellent intensity. Balanced by fresh acidity with a long and
lively finish. This wine will reward patient cellaring for 7-10
years.

Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay 2009 (Geelong, Vic)
RRP $30
Mid gold in colour
with a green hue. Lifted white peach and melon characters on the nose which are
underpinned by creamy, cashew nut aromas. The palate displays tight yet intense
nectarine and melon flavours balanced by some subtle creaminess. This is a
refined but powerful wine with excellent intensity. The finish is long and
lingering. This wine reflects one of the lowest cropping and coolest years on
record, making it a tight and well structured, elegant Chardonnay. With our
vineyards now being fully mature the influence of vine age and subsequent
quality this delivers is now fully impacting on this Scotchmans Hill wine.

of:
Scotchmans Hill Swan Bay Shiraz 2008 (Geelong,
Vic) RRP $22
Aromas of black
berry fruits, some liquorice, white pepper and caramel, from time in French oak,
are evident on the nose. The palate is quite youthful and tight and shows the
same characters as the nose of black berry fruits and spices. The fruit
complexities are derived from the combination of old vines, a clean vintage and
a selection of vineyard
sites.
