Enjoy the aromas of cranberry and raspberry, with a slight gamey/spice
undertone. This is a medium bodied wine with fresh berry fruit flavours,
and lingering soft dusty tannins. The flavour is long and complex and will
continue to develop over the next three years.
Suggested Food
This wine is ideally suited to smoked rainbow trout risotto or grilled
loin of venison skewers with chilli cherry drizzle sauce.
This is turning into some kind of wine and some kind of label. All the Long Flat reds are excellent value and I'd happily send you to buy them all, but this one is a little special. You see, it's hard to make good pinot-and it's really hard to make it at this price. This is the Billy Elliott of Australian wine, the kid from a humble background who reaches the top against all odds. And it dances too just a little bit, on your tongue. 4 star"
