Very powerful and full-bodied, with a long life ahead; the power comes from its great length, or is it the other way around? Either way, strong blackcurrant fruit has sidelights of spice, cedar and dark chocolate, the tannins line up in regimental support. Cork.
    95/100 James Halliday

    • A traditional long-term Clare cabernet whose deep aromas of dark plums, berries and cedar/vanilla oak are backed by dusty, slightly leafy suggestions of dried herbs and undertones of baked earth. It's astringent and drying, delivering a profound length of dark, deeply layered fruit and mature enough to finish quite savoury, with a mineral aspect.(18.6/95, YTD 2025-2035) Jeremy Oliver
