This is a round, fruit drenched red,
that is punchy and ripe without straying into the raspberry cordial over
ripeness like many other cheap Aussie reds. The flavours are a little
on the simple side, but you can't forgive the wine for tending towards
the fruit driven end of the spectrum. It just makes the whole package
approachable and ultra friendly.
The Sacred Hill Cab Merlot is one of the finest under $8 reds in the nation. Period.
