    Peter Forrestal

An ethereal, grapey, raisin character on the nose and a bright freshness. Lush texture lifted by the young fruit. The chocolate of the dish brought out some of the highlights in the wine. That ethereal character, that joy of youth, does make the point that these fortifieds are not only great when they’re at their most dense and most expensive with a lot of age, they can be glorious when they’re really young too.

    Cathy van Zyl

Amber hued. Typical Muscat raisin characters on the nose with burnt sugar. On the palate this follows through. Raisin burnt sugar, good balance fortification and a lovely clean finish. This lovely clean finish and a perfect spirit balance assisted to clean the palate after the very rich and delicious dessert. It’s a good food match.

    Patrick Farrell

This was unctuous, sweet, decadent, floral, rich, wonderfully balanced and was stunning with the chocolate.

    Stephen Harris

Some rich, toasty, nutty notes followed by sweet sort of rose petal characters and some caramel. The palate is very viscous. Very rich, round and nectar like. A truly sublime balance with the food and the weight of the chocolate soufflé was perfectly matched with the Muscat.

    Lynnette Hudson

Beautiful tawny colour with a brown orange hue. Intense Muscat nose. Raisins, orange blossom. Incredible perfume. The aromatics on the palate as well. Maybe a touch too much alcohol but just sensational. The dessert makes the wine less intense. Absolutely stunning.

A rich wood aged dessert wine showing vibrant colour with intense ripe Muscat grapes aromas. The smooth and rich flavours show considerable lusciousness from both retained sweetness and fruit intensity.
